Do you want to work with and learn from the best economists in Scandinavia? Professor Asger Lunde is looking for a new programming and computer science student to contribute directly to his daily project work.

In Copenhagen Economics, you will get the opportunity to have a direct impact, working for some of the most influential institutions, organisations and enterprises across Europe and beyond. You will develop your skills in programming by learning from and working closely with Professor Asger Lunde and the rest of our experienced consultants. A normal working week constitutes 20 hours at our Copenhagen office, but with two-way flexibility.

The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate:

  • Excellent academic performance
    As a student in e.g. computer science, mathematics-economics or economics
  • Strong skills in IT and programming
    Particularly in data handling, process automation, database construction, text extractions, web application construction (dashboards), web scraping and web interfacing in e.g. Python and R. We also appreciate the ability to interact Python/R with Stata and various programs from the Microsoft Office family
  • Great communication skills
    Able to cut a clear story and substantiate it with hard facts
  • Independence and can-do attitude
    Able to find creative solutions to real life problems
  • Effortless communication in English
    Working knowledge of Danish and additional languages is an advantage
