In Settlements, we settle securities transactions on behalf of Danske Bank and Danske Bank’s customers, serving 88 markets worldwide. You will become part of a global team of colleagues, two of whom are based in Lithuania and five in Høje Taastrup, outside Copenhagen. We share our responsibilities across the team and therefore communicate internationally every day.
As a student assistant, you will be part of Danske Students – a network of all student assistants across Danske Bank Group which arranges professional, sports and social events. Danske Students will provide you with insight into career opportunities across business areas and countries. Your responsibilities will grow as you develop
In Settlements, our responsibilities shift during the day as the financial markets open and close. However, your main responsibilities will be to:
- follow up on transactions
- investigate discrepancies
- communicate with stakeholders
- undertake various ad hoc tasks
Your assignments will change and develop as you build knowledge of securities trading and the financial markets generally.Interest in the financial sector and a logical mindset
Your educational background is not a determining factor, although knowledge of, and interest in, financial products and markets is a benefit as is the desire to develop and strengthen your understanding of securities trading on a “learning by doing” basis.
Success in your role requires you to have a structured and logical mindset that will enable you to develop an eye for the details of individual transactions.
As we constantly strive to improve our procedures and drive change through automation, technical skills such as VBA, SQL or similar could also be of benefit and will allow for a broader range of responsibilities
You will initially be employed for a term of six months with the possibility of extending your contract. Interested?
