Center for Financial Frictions, CBS
Center for Financial Frictions (FRIC) is looking to hire several student assistants who are interested in supporting us in our research via data collection and cleaning, computation, and model implementation.
One or two students will be working solely for a DFF funded research project focusing on monetary policy and foreign exchange markets. In the other position, tasks from different researchers within the center are assigned to the student assistants.
We are looking for students who have taken courses in Financial Economics, Mathematics, Probability, and Statistics and who enjoys working with data and/or the implementation of models in, e.g. Excel, Stata, Matlab, R, or SAS. In order to be considered for the position, students should have achieved top grades (10 or 12, or international equivalent) in most subjects and have excellent communication skills in both written and oral English.
About the position
In this position, students work approximately 10-15 hours a week, but we are flexible with respect to courses and exam periods. The position also offers an opportunity to figure out on the job whether or not a career as a researcher might be interesting. Furthermore, the position may also serve as inspiration for a thesis.

Conditions of employment
Employment conditions will be in accordance with the Collective Agreement between the Danish Ministry of Finance and the Organizations of Public Employees –governmental institutions (the OAO-S collective agreement) under HK. The current starting salary is between DKK 123 and DKK 129 per hour but will depend on your seniority and your level of education. There is a pension contribution of currently 11.19% of the relevant part of wages, which applies if you have had more than 9 months’ previous employment within the public sector.
