Student Analyst to Options & Inflation Trading

We are looking for a student analyst to join Interest Rate Options & Inflation Trading in our Copenhagen office. The team is comprised of seven dedicated traders facilitating risk intermediation for the bank’s clients and market, making interest rate options and inflation derivatives. The role is therefore a unique opportunity to get exposure to trading, financial markets, and hands-on experience with interest rate and inflation derivatives.

Rate Options & Inflation Trading is part of Danske Bank Fixed income and Currencies. We count 60 colleagues in the Global Rates area with a great diversification of backgrounds and nationalities. Our value chain includes client advice, risk management and analysis of global rates and fixed income markets. We service both domestic and international clients, which are primarily institutionals and corporates.

Your tasks
You will assist the traders with various tasks, supporting the decision making process in the team. This could for example include but is not limited to:

  • Providing weekly market updates
  • Conducting quantitative analyses of trading strategies
  • Pricing of interest rate derivatives
  • Developing Excel applications
  • Automating various daily tasks


Although you will work in the trading team, you will also work very closely with research, sales and quant.

Your profile
We expect you to have a keen interest in financial markets and flair for quantitative analysis. You are currently studying economics, business, natural science or a related subject. Ideally, you would have 2 years left of your graduate studies. We are looking for a candidate with a strong drive, empathy and the ability to inspire us and take initiative. After ended studies, there will be an opportunity to apply for a First Year Analyst position in the Global Rates area.
