Portfolio Manager to Alternative Investments, Wealth Management

Are you ambitious and motivated by working across unlisted asset classes within Private Equity, Infrastructure and Credit? Do you want to have a steep learning curve within alternative investment management and are you prepared to be part of a team in rapid development and with a very ambitious strategy.

We are looking for two Portfolio Managers to join the Alternative Investments team, which is part of Investment Management in Danske Bank Wealth Management. Our team manage a large and growing portfolio of unlisted fund and direct investments within Private Equity, Infrastructure and Credit on behalf of the banks clients.

As Portfolio Manager, you will work across the three asset classes on a project-by-project basis together with the responsible investment director. You will be part of both the investment process and the monitoring of existing investments, and over time, you will develop a broad skill-set within alternative investments with a goal to specialise in one asset class over time. 

Strong analytical skills and an investment mind-set
As part of the investment team, you will take part in a number of tasks in the investment phase ranging from investment analysis, research and excel-modelling to preparation of investment proposals. With respect to monitoring existing investments, you will be involved in review of performance and preparation of internal reporting etc. You will be communicating and engaging with many different stakeholders both internally and externally.

Tasks include:

  • Take part in due diligence on new investment opportunities in close collaboration with the responsible investment director and other team members dedicated to the opportunity
  • Prepare financial analysis and develop own Excel-models
  • Assist in preparing investment proposals, reporting and other internal documentation
  • Review and assess reporting from portfolio companies
  • Take part in ad hoc projects e.g. improvement of tools or implementation of new procedures

Business knowledge and experience:

  • Relevant master's degree
  • Preferably 1-3 years of experience within asset management or fund management
  • Great communication skills are essential – also in English.
  • Good Excel modelling skills
