Danske Bank Capital Markets Equities is a Nordic leader in executing and facilitating transactions in cash equity and equity derivatives products for institutional clients. You will join our Copenhagen based team, which is ranked no. 1 by our clients. Your future colleagues are dedicated traders with a passion for the equity markets. The cash trading desk make markets and facilitate client transactions, and you will be key in our ambition of facilitating risk to Institutional clients. Our client base include the largest corporates and institutions in the Nordic countries as well as in Europe and North America. You will cooperate closely with the Sales staff, Research analysts and Quant specialists in your everyday work to provide a best in class product. 

Your role
You will work as a trader and contribute to the development of our Nordic risk franchise by working closely with our senior traders. The job will require a considerable amount of discretionary decision-making as you grow within your role. Along with building your competencies, we will gradually increase your responsibilities, enabling you to eventually hold your own risk mandate.

The tasks include:

  • Market making in cash equities
  • Assist with the risk management of our Central Risk Book
  • Work in collaboration with Quant on developing hedging - and risk tools
  • Generate trading ideas and staying on top of the global economic themes
  • Develop into a market expert in field of Nordic equities
  • Ensure we stay relevant and ahead of technological development
  • Ability to cope with and produce solutions to reduce operational challenges 
Your profile
You expect to graduate before September 1st 2020 with a Masters degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering or a similar field, and you have some work experience from the financial services industry. Furthermore, you match the following criteria:
  • Thrive within a fast paced environment and working under pressure
  • Have the ability to communicate clearly and think quickly
  • Skills within Excel and VBA is an advantage
  • Adaptive to ever-changing environments
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

The First Year Analyst-programme consists of three learning modules and gives the opportunity for two short-term rotations. The programme offers a chance to build a useful network within the bank, and is an excellent way to get to know our organisation. In addition, the rotation opportunities enable you to broaden your knowledge and skill set, to give you a wider understanding of our business and add new perspectives to bring back to your original desk.
