Make an impact that matters as a business analyst in Finance & Performance Advisory!
What impact will you make
Would you like to make an impact while evolving in a dynamic and inclusive culture founded on cooperation, curiosity and high ambitions? If so, Deloitte is the place for you. We acknowledge and fulfill your potential and offer you a strong professional network where you can unfold your interests and passions.
In Enterprise Technology and Performance within the offering Finance & Performance Advisory, we typically engage with the CFO, who consults us with the purpose of optimising and transforming the finance function to meet new demands.
We help the CFO steer the finance organisation through periods of transformation, we provide support for the CFO when executing strategic initiatives, and we assist the CFO in developing new ways of managing the finance organisation. We act as the CFO's trusted advisor all the way from the design and analysis phases to the implementation phase.
We have an issue-based approach and apply our core finance and consultancy skills to tailor our solutions to the client’s needs, and we work alongside the client’s organisation to build tangible improvements and results.
We embrace and encourage authenticity and diversity of thought, because we understand that inclusion unleashes the power of our people and that our diversity is a source of strength. Furthermore, our social environment is of high importance to us and we spend a lot of time together.
In Finance & Performance Advisory, we offer our clients a wide range of services. As a business analyst, you will contribute to several client-facing assignments, including data collection and validation, preparation of analyses and client material, writing of client proposals, and participation in meetings and workshops on the following types of projects (depending on your interest and our needs):
- Operational finance projects (e.g. standardisation and optimisation of finance processes such as procure to pay, order to cash or close, consolidate and report)
- Business finance projects (e.g. design and implement performance management models to drive decisions or improve management information and insight)
- Service-delivery model projects (e.g. support of the optimisation and improvement of finance shared service centres, global business services or business process outsourcing).
You will be working closely with our clients and colleagues at all levels in Deloitte. We spend a lot of our time working at client sites, and your ability to interact with other people is therefore your key to success. As a business analyst, you can expect to become part of a team where everyone works towards delivering value to our clients – often in close cooperation with the client – to make an impact that matters.
You want to start your career at Deloitte and are eager to learn. We have a proven track record of accelerating talent development, and we believe that the best way to gain experience is through working on client projects in combination with focused training, knowledge sharing and sparring. We believe in leadership at all levels. Therefore, we foster a culture that encourages you to take the lead at your specific development level.
To support career development and aspirations, all employees are assigned a talent manager; an experienced colleague who will provide guidance for your career development. Furthermore, you will become part of our business analyst network, which connects all business analysts across Deloitte Consulting and serves as a platform for knowledge sharing, communication, support and social activities.
We imagine that you are currently in your first year of your master's degree and that you can spend 15-20 hours per week working with us. Typical educational backgrounds in our team are within business, economics, IT and science, but your background may be completely different as we believe in the strength of setting diverse teams to find the best solutions.
As a person, you strive to deliver the highest possible quality while continuously developing your analytical skills. You possess an engaged, structured and curious personality combined with strong communication skills that enable you to communicate complex problems to the management and assume a client-facing role.
Moreover, we expect that:
