Norwegian speaking junior economist for Copenhagen or Stockholm

Copenhagen Economics A/S

Fuldtidsstilling

Do you want to work alongside some of the brightest economists in Europe on challenging projects such as national or EU-wide mergers and damage cases? Or advise postal and delivery operators and regulators across the globe on how to cope with increasing e-substitution and e-commerce?

We are currently looking for a junior economist with excellent academic records and an interest in regulatory/competition economics for our Stockholm or Copenhagen office. Start date is as soon as possible and no later than 20 August 2020.

What do we offer you?

Joining our Market team, you will primarily work within the field of regulatory and competition economics, providing economic advice and analysis in relation to competition- and regulatory projects, mergers, and State aid. You will be helping both public and private clients inside and outside of the Nordic region by applying your economic toolbox to a variety of economic analyses. No two days are the same and your tasks will span from participating in client meetings, working on big data sets and making clear cut figures to writing tender proposals and reports.

You will collaborate with some of the brightest economists in Europe and enter a Nordic working culture with employees from more than 15 different countries. We offer a steep learning curve and give you the opportunity to take on responsibility and contribute from day one. Through formal training and coaching, you will broaden your quantitative toolbox and receive training in writing clear stories based on hard facts.

You will be based at our centrally located office in either Stockholm or Copenhagen.

Who are you?

  • You are either a soon to be graduate or you might have a few years of working experience
  • You have a Master’s degree in Economics with a focus on microeconomics and were one of the best all-round economists in your class
  • You are eager to be part of a highly specialised economics consultancy where you can work on solving complex problems by applying economic theory and tools
  • You appreciate the importance of making a team work – and you might even be skilled in running small-scale projects or have the desire to learn
  • You crunch numbers for breakfast and are a proficient user of programs such as Excel and Stata
  • You are fluent in Norwegian and have excellent English skills
