The Quantitative Analysis department in Danske Bank is an ambitious team working with applied mathematics in the financial industry. The majority of our employees are working on or close to the trading floor and are responsible for the full stack of development; ranging from problem formulation and equation solving with pen and paper via numerical implementation to trading applications for pricing and risk management.
The Department consists of people from many countries, presently 12 nationalities. The work situations are similarly broad, as some roles consists of very focused model development in a closed group, while other roles has a strong element of communicating with traders and sales in many different areas, with people with many different backgrounds. Moreover, the department has a strong focus on being leaders in our field and regularly publishes cutting edge research and has won several well-respected prices.
Learn and grow as an analyst
This position offers a rare opportunity to learn and grow as a quantitative analyst, as you will be given a unique chance to collaborate with the bank’s experts and to work with top industry level analytics, unified across asset classes. You will support a wide area of businesses, stretching from Fixed-income and Foreign Exchange to Equity Derivatives. The problems we work on are given by market and scoped on the trading floor. In close collaboration with market participants, you develop solutions and work flows for pricing and risk management as well as machine learning and algorithms for efficient electronic and algorithmic trading.
You are finishing your MSc or PhD degree in mathematics, physics, mathematical finance or related fields. You have a profound theoretical background with a strong understanding in the fields of probability theory, stochastic analysis, partial differential equations and an interest in practical problem solving. Numerical analysis is heavily used, so it is imperative that you are fluent in one or more programming languages and it is an advantage if these covers C# or C++. Working independently and taking ownership is second nature to you.
