Assistant Analyst - Private Debt

Capital Four is a leading specialty asset manager. We manage more than EUR 15 billion in funds and managed accounts for sub-investment grade credit, including High Yield Bonds, Leveraged Loans, Bank Capital, and Private Debt. We are more than 100 professionals with a global institutional client base and offices in Copenhagen, New York, Frankfurt and Stockholm.

The Private Debt team consists of seven investment professionals, delivering financing solutions for private equity-backed transactions across Northern and Western Europe. The team currently manages EUR +2 billion in funds across the capital structure, including senior, junior, and quasi-equity instruments. 

Private Debt is looking to add two part-time Assistant Analysts to further strengthen the team. As part of the team, you will support with analyses of potential new investments across a wide range of industries and capital structures, including company analysis and financial modeling. You will also be involved with portfolio management and monitoring of existing investments in the Private Debt portfolio.

Job description:

Perform detailed company, market, and financial analyses that forms the basis for investment decisions

Be involved in portfolio management and monitoring, including preparing quarterly portfolio reports 

Perform ad-hoc tasks related to new and existing investments, financing documentation and data handling

The position is estimated to be 15-20 hours a week with a flexible attitude towards working hours

Qualifications:

You are pursuing a quantitative university degree (e.g., business, economics, engineering) with strong academic credentials (top quartile), preferably with at least two years remaining of your studies and previous relevant professional experience (e.g., internships and/or part-time jobs in finance, consulting, investing, or similar)

You are comfortable with Excel and have a thorough understanding of financial statements

You have excellent communication skills and high proficiency in written and spoken English

A team player with an analytical and structured mindset, attention to details, and an ability to consistently deliver high quality results
