Student Analyst, Data & Analytics

We are looking for a Student Analyst to join our Data & Analytics team in Copenhagen. In this role, you will help us build better data foundations, reporting solutions, analytics tools, and automations, while also acting as a generalist who supports colleagues across software development and operations & maintenance (O&M). It is a broad, varied role for someone who enjoys being useful in more than one place.

Your role

As part of the Data & Analytics team, you will help turn financial, operational, and SCADA data into clear, actionable insights. You will work closely with experienced colleagues across the organisation and help keep daily operations running efficiently.

You will work from our Copenhagen office alongside other students and full-time professionals in an informal, team-oriented environment. We offer flexibility during exam periods and the opportunity for long-term collaboration as you progress through your studies.

Your focus areas will include

  • Collecting, processing, and transforming data from a range of sources, including financial, operational, and SCADA data.
  • Helping build and maintain ELT/ETL data pipelines, data models, and semantic models that feed our data lake and reporting layers.
  • Assisting with software development, helping build, configure, and improve the tools that monitor and control our solar PV parks, including our SCADA system.
  • Developing and maintaining dashboards, BI/reporting solutions, and Excel models used across the organisation.
  • Contributing to automation and continuous improvement of manual or recurring processes.
  • Conducting various ad-hoc analyses, including PV performance analysis.
  • Supporting new technology initiatives, including the use of machine learning, AI, and advanced analytics.

Who you are

You are a self-starter who enjoys solving problems and working with data. You are structured, curious, and motivated to learn new tools and concepts. You enjoy working on different projects and are not afraid to ask questions, challenge assumptions, or take responsibility for your own tasks.

We do not expect you to know everything from day one. What matters most is that you are analytical, detail-oriented, and eager to learn. You will get to work across a wide range of areas early on, before specialising in the direction that fits you best.

Qualifications

We imagine that you:

  • Are in the final year of your bachelor’s degree or at the beginning of your master’s degree.
  • Study mathematics, engineering, computer science, statistics, economics, data science, or a related field.
  • Have some experience with data handling and programming, ideally including Python and/or SQL.
  • Have a strong analytical mindset and are comfortable working independently.

It is an advantage if you also have:

  • Interest in energy markets and renewable energy.
  • Familiarity with ELT/ETL processes, data pipelines, databases, data models, or APIs.
  • Experience with tools such as Git, Databricks, Power BI, Power Query, Data Factory, Excel, or Microsoft Fabric.
  • Exposure to SCADA systems, industrial control/monitoring software, or software development more broadly.
  • Interest in AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics.
