Student Analyst, Investment Management
Are you a curious and motivated student with a strong interest in data, financial analysis, and real-world business impact? Do you want hands-on experience with financial modelling, forecasting, automation, and data-driven decision making in the renewable energy sector?
We are looking for a Student Analyst to join our Investment Management team in Copenhagen. In this role, you will support a broad range of analytical and financial tasks, from collecting and transforming data to maintaining and developing financial models, improving recurring processes, preparing forecasts, and developing clear presentations for senior management and external stakeholders.
Your role
As part of the Investment Management team, you will help turn financial, operational, and performance data into clear, actionable insights that support investment decisions and ongoing business management. You will work closely with experienced colleagues across the organisation on financial models, forecasting, automation, presentations, and ad-hoc analyses.
You will work from our Copenhagen office alongside other students and full-time professionals in an informal, team-oriented environment. We offer flexibility during exam periods and the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility as you progress through your studies.
Your focus areas will include
- Collecting, processing, and transforming data from a range of sources, including financial, operational, and performance data
- Maintaining, updating, and developing complex financial models for PV and BESS assets
- Contributing to automation and continuous improvement of manual or recurring processes
- Supporting short- and long-term financial forecasting, including scenario analyses and assumption analyses
- Preparing clear and concise PowerPoint presentations for senior management and external stakeholders
- Conducting various ad-hoc analyses related to the ongoing business
Qualifications
We imagine that you:
- Are currently pursuing a bachelor's degree or are in the first year of your master's degree in economics, finance, business administration, or a related field
- Have a strong commercial understanding and a keen interest in investments, strategy, and value creation
- Have experience with Excel and financial modelling
- Have a strong analytical mindset
- Work independently and proactively, while being a strong team player
It is an advantage if you also have interest in energy markets and renewable energy, familiarity with data handling and programming such as Python and/or SQL, experience with databases, Power BI or Power Query, and experience creating clear and compelling PowerPoint materials.
Practical information
Workplace: Codanhus, Frederiksberg. Working hours: 10-15 hours per week, flexible around exams and study activities. Start date: as soon as possible.
