Intern at Compass Lexecon and experience applying economics in high profile cases

Who are we?

We are one of the world’s leading economic consulting firms. Our European Competition Practice provides expert economic advice on competition policy, economic and financial regulation, public policy and the assessment of damages in complex disputes.

Our success stems from our ability to develop and apply economic theories; to support them with robust and relevant empirical analysis; and to present our findings in a clear and compelling manner. Our economists work closely with law firms to advance arguments in contentious cases before the European Commission, national competition authorities, regulators, and courts.

What do we do?

Competition authorities, other regulators, and courts of law make decisions that can have a far-reaching impact on individual businesses. These decisions are increasingly being guided by data and economic analysis. Compass Lexecon provides economic analysis to help businesses understand and affect such regulatory decisions.

We are a collaborative community of micro-economists. Our work involves providing economic expertise in some of the most interesting and challenging cases in the areas of competition / antitrust, merger control, and damages litigation. We advise some of the world’s largest companies operating across a wide range of industries, such as Google, Fiat, IBM, E.ON, Spotify, and Deutsche Borse Group.

Who are we looking for?

Our most valuable asset is our exceptionally talented people, and we seek to recruit the brightest and most capable economics graduates. We strive to recruit and develop talented people to work together to produce meaningful economic analysis of exceptional quality, and to create a positive impact on our clients and society.

We are looking to hire economists to help us to provide advice to our clients on some of the most high-profile cases before the European Commission, the General Court and national competition authorities, regulators and courts.

We believe that working in diverse teams, where everybody’s views are considered and respected, helps us to deliver work of the highest standards of quality and integrity.
