The Global Finance Graduate Programme is designed to develop the next generation of finance leaders, who will play an instrumental role in ensuring that we achieve our vision of being the best finance organisation in the global pharmaceutical industry ultimately delivering on our purpose of driving change to defeat diabetes and other serious chronic diseases. Being part of the programme will hence give you the opportunity to make a difference to the millions of patients who rely on our products.

What’s it about?

The full-time position as a Global Finance Graduate provides you with the opportunity to experience 4 exciting jobs in just 2 years. You will work in various finance functions across our global value chain from R&D to sales - ensuring a strong financial toolbox, including knowledge of digital tools, and a holistic understanding of Novo Nordisk and the pharmaceutical industry.

Throughout the programme you will gain hands-on experience with transforming data into business insights, communicating recommendations and creating measurable business impact. You will work with senior managers and build an international network of colleagues, establishing yourself as one of tomorrow’s key finance leaders at Novo Nordisk.

As you embark on your life-changing career in Novo Nordisk, we will provide you with:

  • Accelerated personal and professional development through 1-on-1 sparring with a senior mentor assigned to you from day 1 and an extensive, custom-built training programme.
  • International experience by working abroad for 6 months in one of our many affiliates or regional offices (e.g. USA, Colombia, Malaysia, a European capital or one of many other options)
  • A unique graduate community spanning across programmes filled with social activities and inspiring colleagues to spare with and learn from.

The Position

During the programme you will undertake 3 rotations at the global headquarters in Denmark and 1 rotation abroad shaped to suit your development needs and to ensure you will be involved in a variety of tasks. Every Global Finance Graduate journey is unique, but below is an example of how your journey as a Global Finance Graduate could look like:

    • Rotation 1 – R&D Finance, HQ
    Finance partnering supporting the management of investments in our future product pipeline.

    • Rotation 2 – Novo Nordisk Management Consulting, HQ

    Building on the project management toolbox, working with projects across the value chain and learning from colleagues with top-tier consulting backgrounds.

    • Rotation 3 – Novo Nordisk, Inc., US

    Forecasting sales and analysing the market dynamics in our biggest market.

    • Rotation 4 – Strategic Finance, HQ

    Supporting senior management with key strategic projects and financial modelling in connection with our business development activities.

    Qualifications

    To apply for the Global Finance Graduate Programme, you should have:

    • A master’s degree from 2021 or 2022 in a relevant subject, for example finance, economics, business administration, accounting or management accounting with strong academic achievements
    • Relevant work experience or extracurricular activities
      International experience from working, studying or volunteering abroad*
    • An international mind-set with an ability to adapt quickly to change and to relocate internationally as part of the programme
    • Professional fluency in English
    • Availability to start 1 September 2022.

    *if COVID-19 restrictions have prevented you from obtaining (additional) international experience, e.g. studying or completing an internship abroad, feel free to still apply and explain what your plans were, how they changed and what relevant experience you have gained instead.
