Job Description
Would you like to become part of an international analyst team and get valuable hands-on experience working with anti-money laundering data? Consider this opportunity to join the First Line Financial Crime Risk organization in Danske Bank.
We are looking for a skilled Student Analyst to support the AML Analytics team in the fight against money laundering and terror financing. Covering both personal banking as well as corporate customers across multiple countries, AML Analytics provides in depth analysis, data segmentation and reporting within this important and relatively unchartered area.

The team itself is based within the First Line Financial Crime Risk organization. The first line indicates that we as a risk function are part of the frontline and work very closely with customer data in the context of AML in particular.
As part of the AML Analytics team located in Østerbro Copenhagen, you will be working together with 12 analysts representing a diverse mix of backgrounds as well as nationalities.
“Besides providing a great team atmosphere, we invite you to learn about AML, be technically challenged and grow professionally as well as personally. While progressing on this journey, your responsibilities will increase further”, says Thomas, your future manager.
Evaluate customers segments and develop AML reports
In the role of student analyst, your main contribution will be to support the team with data and analytics related tasks e.g. retrieving customer segments in SQL, develop reporting in Tableau or create power point presentations. More specifically your job could cover:

- Develop AML dashboards.
You will also support the remaining team members with various ad hoc analytics and data tasks, e.g. customer investigations, data segmentation, visualize dashboard results or data clean up.
Analytical mindset
In order to thrive in this role, you should have an interest in data and analytics. We expect you to be in the 3rd year of a bachelor’s degree or within a master’s degree. You have experience with SQL - whether learned in school, another student job or due to a hobby project. SQL experience will be relevant to retrieve data and trouble shoot technical problems. Other qualifications could be:
- Good communication – it is important when collaborating with stakeholders.
- Full proficiency in English - since that is our daily language.
- A good team member – so you can both initiate and finish tasks separately.
You also have a high attention to detail, and is eager to get to know, how Danske Bank works.
“As our Student Assistant you will be an important part of the team. You will get your own task, as well as work closely with other team members. We will make sure to motivate and support you in your development,” tells Thomas, who hopes to hear from you.

The position will require you to work 15-25 hours per week with mutual flexibility. We will provide you with flexibility during exam periods.
