Junior Analyst, Investment and Asset Management

The Team

Investment team: The Investment team is responsible for all aspects related to the execution of our investments from sourcing of investment opportunities through to analyses, due diligence, negotiation, and final investment decision. Our investment strategy is rooted in our industry experience, well-established relationships with counterparties/partners and flexibility to structure our investments differently from investment-to-investment.

Asset Management team: The Asset Management team takes over the responsibility of an investment after the investment has been made. The Asset Management team is responsible for managing, optimising, and creating the most value from the energy and infrastructure assets in the AIP portfolio, while also focusing on the assets’ sustainability performance.

The role
Our Junior Analyst team in Investment and Asset Management consists of 9 Junior Analysts with different educational backgrounds, assisting our Investment and Asset Management teams. In addition, you will also be a part of AIP’s diverse student team consisting of 19 Junior Analysts in total with a strong community with various sports, social and afterwork activities.
As a Junior Analyst, you will work closely together with experienced full-time employees and be involved in all stages of the investment process and the subsequent management of the portfolio supporting the asset management team.
We develop our Junior Analysts through continuous feedback and trust, and our mission is to train and equip them to take on a full-time role upon graduation.

Your primary tasks include: 

• Provide support to the investment team on preparation of presentation materials on potential investments
• Provide support to the asset management team in relations to our existing investments
• Financial analysis and valuation in relation to new investments and/or our existing investments
• Assist full-time colleagues on strategic ad-hoc tasks

The position is a part-time student position (20 hours weekly) and based at our newly renovated office in central Copenhagen. 

About you 
We are looking for 2nd or 3rd year BSc students with a focus in finance or economics. 
In addition, we believe that a good candidate possesses: 

• Analytical and detail-oriented, with an eagerness to learn and a genuine interest in investments and private equity
• A team player who knows the importance of inclusion and collaboration
• Curious by nature and can work independently
• Able to communicate in clear verbal and written English
• Experience working with PowerPoint and Excel
