Junior Associate for the Private Debt Team - Copenhagen

Capital Four’s Private Debt team is seeking a highly motivated Junior Associate to join our Copenhagen office on a part-time basis. As part of the Private Debt team, you will gain direct exposure to bespoke debt financing solutions across a wide range of levered private equity transactions throughout the Nordics and Western Europe. In your role, you will support the ongoing evaluation of specific Private Debt investments across diverse industries and capital structures, including commercial analysis and financial modelling. You will also contribute to the monitoring and management of the Private Debt portfolio, working closely with experienced investment professionals across the investment lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct detailed commercial, financial, and credit analyses and research to evaluate investments.
• Support portfolio monitoring activities, including preparation of monthly and quarterly portfolio reporting.
• Assist in development and enhancement of analytical tools and financial models to enhance portfolio insights.
• Ad hoc tasks related to new and existing investments, financing documentation, and data management.
• The position is expected to average approximately 15 hours per week, with flexibility to accommodate academic commitments.

About you

• You are attending a relevant university and pursuing a degree within finance, economics, STEM, or similar with great academic credentials, preferably with at least two years remaining of your studies.
• You have a deep interest in the fields of corporate finance, leveraged finance, M&A, and investments.
• You are comfortable with Excel and have a thorough understanding of financial statements.
• Detail-oriented, excellent communication skills and high proficiency in written and spoken English.
• You are a team player with an analytical and structured mindset and attention to details.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL is a plus but not required.
