Junior Investment Analyst

We are looking for a structured and driven Junior Investment Analyst to focus on supporting the economic decision making through clear and accurate representation of financial implications on various upcoming projects. We currently have a large pipeline of projects waiting to be realised, so we have a lot of work to do and are looking for a dedicated candidate to join us in the daily work to make an impact that matters.

Your team

You will join the Investment department and report to Senior Manager, Søren Dyrlund Jessen. The department is currently made up of five dedicated employees and works in areas such as Project Finance, Investment and Partnerships.

Better Energy is facing tremendous growth over the coming years and our focus is on securing project financing and equity investments, so we keep up with the high demand for solar parks. Our business model covers the entire value chain of adding new green energy to our electricity grids and we do so without government subsidies. This is why an important part of realising our solar parks is the financial aspect and our Investment department is kept busy with many and varied projects.

Job profile

As our Junior Investment Analyst, you will mainly be responsible for maintaining and optimising our financial models, ensuring data consistency between databases and financial management tools. Other tasks will include:

• Identifying commercial risks and opportunities
• Financial modelling
• Market analysis (data gathering and analysis)
• Commercial assessments and valuation of projects/portfolios

This is a part-time position, where we expect an average week for you to be 15-20 hours of work.

The right candidate also has the following:

• Either an almost finished bachelor degree or just started a master degree
• Economic or technical background
• Advanced user of Excel and Powerpoint
• Preferably experience with modelling from a previous job
• Strong in both spoken and written English
