Organizers to Polit Case Competition
Do you want to join Polit Case Competition?
We are looking for new organizers!
Do you want to gain valuable experience organizing large events together with industry-leading companies? Do you have a passion for economics and want to help bridge the gap between students and future employers? Then this is your chance, as we are currently looking for new volunteers to join our organization!
The position
You will help plan, develop and execute high-quality case competitions for economics students as part of one of three teams.
Marketing & Communication: We are looking for detail-oriented and creative minds to help promote and grow our events. You will help increase our reach, maximize the number of participating students and engage our audience through SoMe and other channels. It is your responsibility to
- Create and execute a digital strategy in close collaboration with our Case Partner to ensure they receive exposure and meet their recruiting goals
- Tell the story of our case competition and attract more participants
- Make strategic investments with a sizeable budget to reach a broad and relevant audience
- Develop content for our SoMe channels (interviews, graphics, videos, posters)
Example: The team held meetings with our Case Partner TV 2 to plan a RISE campaign which included interviewing TV 2s CFO.
Funding & Collaboration: We are looking for go-getters who can help secure funding and sponsorships and collaborate with other organizations to create beneficial partnerships. As we are non-profit and student-driven, we rely purely on these to bring our events to life and provide participants with the best possible experience. It is your responsibility to
- Drive fundraising and secure sponsorship agreements
- Attract and develop relevant partnerships
- Organize venues for workshops, solving days and case finals
Example: The team secured a partnership with Dansk Erhverv for IMPACT 2022 to host the finals in Børssalen.
Accounting & Finance: We are looking for someone with a flair for long-term planning to keep track of our finances, design budgets, and ensure a financially sustainable operation. It is your responsibility to
- Create dynamic budgets and forecast our liquidity
- Invoice partners, keep track of the inflow of funds and file VAT returns
- Purchase and design PCC merchandise
Example: The team developed a dynamic budget to estimate the financial impact of the RISE competition in a scenario, where the associated funding was not received prior to the event.
As a volunteer in PCC you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic and highly motivated team of economics students from many different semesters. You will gain hands-on experience in event organization, and develop valuable skills that will benefit your future career. We are a very social organization who value spending time with each other and regularly plan team evenings together - PCC is as much about creating experiences for others as it is about having a great time doing so! You are expected to use a few hours a week helping the organization, with a bit more work around our two main events (March and October).
To apply, please send a brief cover letter (in pdf-format) explaining why you're interested in joining PCC and which group you're interested in to ansogning@politcasecompetition.com by April 30. We encourage students from all semesters to apply.
We look forward to hearing from you!
