Student Analyst for Group M&A

We’re looking for a Student Analyst to join our Group M&A team. This is the perfect opportunity to begin your career within the world of M&A where you will be involved in and learn the elements of the investment process and support the inorganic growth of WSA. The Team

You will be a part of the Group M&A team consisting of four dedicated investment professionals with backgrounds from investment banking. The team covers M&A and loan activities globally and has a broad exposure across WSA. We do everything from traditional acquisitions and divestments to joint-ventures, venture capital investments and loan investments.

Group M&A is about taking a central project management role of M&A projects and ensure continuity in the processes. This entails being able to keep a good overview, bringing the right people together and working proactively. Our tasks include preparing business plans, valuation, internal decision materials, manage due diligences, negotiate commercial deal terms and in general ensure that transactions are executed on effectively and diligently.

About the role

The position is 15-20 hours a week with high flexibility in respect to your studies. M&A is project oriented work, and although the M&A process is standardised, no two transactions are the same.

As a Student Analyst you will have monthly recurring tasks but also varying tasks to assist the team with M&A projects. The tasks and responsibilities will advance with your own personal development. You will partake in relevant training and we will invest in you to build a solid M&A toolbox.

We expect that you will support the team on several key M&A tasks, including:

  • Monthly M&A performance report
  • Monthly Loan performance report
  • Assist in evaluation of loan applications
  • Assist in preparing company valuations (DCF, multiples etc.)
  • Assist in preparing analyses and presentations for internal decision making
  • Market research and analysis
  • Ad hoc tasks related to M&A projects

What we are looking for

You are a bachelor- or a 1st year master student within finance, economics or similar and a top performer with strong academic results.

As a person you are structured, disciplined and motivated by seeing the results of your work. You enjoy engaging with others and you strive in a fast-paced environment. Moreover, you are positive and self-aware and looking for a job that you can take pride in.

We expect you to be engaged in what you do, is eager to learn and have a natural interest in the world of M&A.

Professional proficiency in Danish and English is essential and experience working in Excel and PowerPoint is a plus.
