STUDENT ANALYST IN INVESTMENT DEPARTMENT

Accunia Credit Management is a leading international asset manager specialising in investments in structured credit, private debt, and high yield bonds. Our 38 employees manage more than DKK 20 billion for both institutional and private investors through our CLO vehicles, alternative investment funds, and managed accounts.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Our student team is recruiting new members. The student team supports our organisation in general and the investment department in particular. You will initially be presented with various student tasks fitted to your abilities. We expect that you are open and willing to find good solutions to the tasks at hand. Gradually as we come to understand your specific skills and interests, we will find areas in the organisation to leverage those. Examples of student tasks are:

  • Assisting credit analysts in building financial models and analyses of investment targets;
  • Simulating and assessing cashflows of CLOs, CLNs, HY bonds, and investment funds;
  • Developing solutions to recurring tasks;
  • Assisting portfolio managers in daily monitoring and performance measurements;
  • Producing and updating company materials, presentations, and data;
  • Reporting to investors and other stakeholders; and
  • Various ad-hoc tasks.

Qualifications

You are currently enrolled at a university or business school with preferably at least two years of studies remaining, and you want to pursue a career within investments and financial markets. Additionally, we value that you:

  • Have the ability to take responsibility and ownership of your tasks no matter how big or small;
  • Have attention to detail, a structured work approach, and can deliver consistent, high-quality results;
  • Are familiar with MS Office, particularly Excel; and
  • Are a team player with an ambitious and proactive mindset.

Furthermore, the ideal candidate will:

  • Be able to show strong academic results in their study program;
  • Have an interest in complex financial credit products and fixed income;
  • Have strong quantitative skills;
  • Have excellent skills in visualisation and communication; and
  • Have interest, and maybe even experience, programming in languages such as VBA, SQL, and Python.

The Position

We believe that working should be engaging, benefitting, and evolving. Due to our flat organisational structure, you will have the possibility to make an impact at the company. As a student analyst at Accunia, you will get:

  • A challenging and rewarding part-time job of 15-25 hours per week with high flexibility, potentially turning into a full-time position;
  • Intimate knowledge of and work with the investments of an asset manager;
  • A dynamic, friendly, and international environment with highly skilled and dedicated colleagues; and
  • An opportunity to use various methods from your university program in practice.
