Student Assistant for Global Sustainability

Join us in this role where you’ll get hands-on experience with developing and implementing best-in-class sustainability programmes and reporting and gain an insight into how an international company works strategically with sustainability.
Welcome to Global Sustainability
You’ll be part of Strategic Environment Programmes where you, together with your colleagues, will help develop and implement our overall strategic approach to climate and environmental sustainability. This includes our work to drive, implement, and report on our ‘net zero by 2040’ target, and to ensure business-relevance and future-fit of our most strategic programmes on supply chain decarbonisation, circular resource use, and net-positive impact on biodiversity. In addition, you’ll also support the work of our strategic social sustainability programmes.
You’ll play an important role in:
- conducting sustainability research and benchmark analysis, mapping stakeholder perspectives to inform the development of our strategic sustainability programmes
- maintaining benchmarks of key performance and stakeholder perspectives across our environmental, social, and governance-related sustainability priorities
- collaborating with the preparation of decision materials for Senior Management, as part of the development and daily management of our sustainability programmes
- engaging in dialogue and consultation meetings with colleagues across multiple departments involved in the implementation of our sustainability programmes
- supporting our engagement with investors and rating agencies to improve our sustainability performance.
To succeed in the role, you:
- enjoy working with a variety of tasks, are self-driven and organised, and strive to deliver high-quality results on time
- can build clear, concise, and top-down structured presentations in PowerPoint, tailored to the target audience
- are analytical, with an eye for detail, and can keep track of data in a structured manner
- are passionate about sustainability and have knowledge of the sustainability and energy fields, incl. sustainability rankings and ESG-ratings, concepts such as net-zero, science-based targets, decarbonisation of hard-to-abate sectors, circular economy, and biodiversity
- are in the final year of your bachelor’s degree or have just started your master’s degree within business administration, economics, environmental science, political science, or similar
- are an excellent communicator, especially in written communication, and speak and write fluently in English.
