Student Assistant in Energy Trading and PPA

Your new team

You will be part of our Energy Trading & PPA team which is responsible for green power sales to energy distributors and corporate off-takers. The team currently consists of six full-time employees and is based in our headquarters in Copenhagen.  One of the teams´ main objectives is the valuation of new production and the management of risk in our production portfolio. As European Energy is a dynamic work environment, there will be opportunities to get involved in many areas of the business.

A typical day

  • You will assist the Energy Trading & PPA team with managing our ETRM (Energy Trading and Risk Management) system and automated reports.
  • Help define and maintain price- and contract data in our ETRM system.
  • Monitor the data quality coming in and out of the ETRM system.
  • Develop and maintain (input to) revenue and exposure reports.
  • Assist with reporting power sales for compliance purposes (REMIT/EMIR).
  • Assist with ad hoc tasks.

 

Prerequisites to progress in the job 

  • You are currently studying a Bachelor's or Master's at university level or an equivalent institution within a technical or quantitative field, such as Computer Science, Economics, or similar.
  • You can contribute significantly to solving technical problems.
  • You have experience with one or more programming languages, such as Python, C# or Java.
  • Some familiarity with data modeling and RESTful APIs will be highly beneficial.
  • Experience with the Microsoft 365 suite, particularly Excel and Power BI.
  • You are proficient in English, oral and written, and have good communication skills.

Location: Søborg HQ, Copenhagen

Hours: 15-20 hours per week with flexibility in exam periods
