In Nordea Asset Management’s Emerging Markets Debt Team, we are looking for a Student Assistant. We are known for our professional focus on robust, repeatable, and transparent processes when it comes to investments and the integration of ESG and sustainability in our investment decisions. What you’ll be doing:
 

We seek a student to support the team’s quantitative analysts as well as the development and maintenance of quantitative models and tools. As the student, you will primarily be responsible for maintaining existing tools in Excel/VBA, R and Python and for collecting and organising data for analysis. Moreover, you will be assisting in exploring opportunities for improvements in our modelling frameworks and in the development of novel strategies.

The job contains programming, work with databases, as well as financial time series analysis and hence, having an interest in these areas is a necessity to be successful in this position. 

Finally, we work as a team and we seek someone who is a team-oriented person and enjoys working in collaboration with peers.

The role is based in Copenhagen.

Your background and skills:

• You are close to finishing your Bachelor’s degree or have just begun a Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering, Data Science or related quantitative fields
• You have experience in programming e.g. in VBA, SQL and R (or similar language). Additional experience with Power BI is a bonus
• A well written and spoken English language
