Student Assistant to join Early Talent programme in Corporate Financial Planning

The position
As a student assistant in Corporate Finance Planning you will support the R&D Finance team as well as the global finance organisation on various tasks within finance processes and systems, working closely together with another student assistant and a colleague located in our Global Business Services unit in Bangalore, India. The position is planned for 15-20 hours/week and will be flexible around exam schedules. The job provides you with solid knowledge about financial management and financial systems as well as insights into the R&D value-chain. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Handling requests and questions from stakeholder and Finance Partners related to financial planning processes and systems including SAP, BI dashboards and budgeting tools
• Preparing and present training guidance and budget kick-off material to a wide audience
• Provide support to the financial management and systems for our early and late-stage R&D pipeline
• Ad-hoc tasks include support to business cases, driving financial insights and represent the student assistant programme externally to student events etc.
About the department
R&D Finance is a part of Corporate Financial Planning, characterised by being a young and ambitious team consisting of Finance Partners, Graduates and Student Assistants. The team is the dedicated unit to drive the financial management and resource allocation to the Research & Development organisations in Novo Nordisk. The team’s overall goal is to impact and support decision-making to drive optimal resource allocation to ensure an innovative and competitive pipeline to sustain the long term growth of Novo Nordisk and drive change to defeat diabetes and other serious chronic diseases. The team delivers on this ambition by matching strong finance knowledge and partnering skills with insights into business strategy and the R&D value-chain.
Qualifications
You are studying on the final year of your bachelor or recently embarked on your master’s degree with a primary focus on finance. You have strong analytical, interpersonal and collaboration skills. Further, we expect you to have good communication skills as well as proficient in both written and spoken English as you will be engaging with many colleagues around the global finance organisation. Finally, you should be intellectually curious, have a strong drive to succeed and the ability to handle different priorities at the same time.
