Student Data Analyst at Systematic Asset Manager

Are you ready to dive into the exciting world where technology meets finance? In our quest to level up the technology and processes for our systematic approach to sustainable investments, we are excited to invite a part-time Data Analyst to join us. If you would like to explore the intersection of technology and finance, then this opportunity is for you!

In your new role

As a Data Analyst, you will be joining the Data & Technology team at the systematic asset manager Qblue Balanced. In Data & Technology, we maintain and develop the company’s code and technological setup. You will be part of a young and ambitious team that strives to solve each task in a group effort by applying collaborative practices such as working in pairs and collective code ownership. We value innovative ideas and are committed to the continuous learning and improvement of the team both as a unit and as individuals.

In this role, you will assist your team on various projects, such as automating our processing of financial data from various sources, conducting an analysis of trading turnover, or developing a new report. As you engage with and learn about these tasks, you will gain hands-on experience with Python programming, data analysis and financial data.

Key responsibilities

• Assist various departments with data analysis, contributing to our investment strategies.

• Collaborate with your team on exciting Python development projects within asset management.

• Dive into pair programming sessions, coding dojos, and other team collabs to fuel our culture of learning and innovation.

Qualifications

We imagine that you...

• Find programming interesting, whether you are new to it or have some experience.

• Are studying a field like Computer Science, Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, or any related discipline. We would prefer if you have at least one year left of your studies.

Most importantly, we are looking for a pleasant and open-minded person, eager to learn and be a part of our small team. You should be interested in working between 10-20 hours per week on average, with mutual flexibility. The exact hours will be agreed upon with your team leader, taking into consideration your class schedule and exams.

Benefits

• A supportive and collaborative work environment with a high degree of trust and responsibility.

• A steep learning curve, where you will get hands-on practice when collaborating in pairs with experienced colleagues.

• A social workplace, where you can connect with colleagues at our regular Friday bar gatherings.

• Flexible working hours that accommodate your academic schedule, including lectures and exam periods.

• Delicious lunch from Meyers Canteen
