Student worker sought for the ROCKWOOL Foundation's project database
The ROCKWOOL Foundation is searching for a student employee who is familiar with programming and IT in the social sciences and can work approximately 15 hours a week. We are looking for an independent, curious, organized and committed student who has at least 1½ years left in their studies. The ideal candidate would be currently studying in the social sciences, natural sciences, or IT as a stud.polit., stud.mat.øk., stud.scient.soc., stud.polyt. etc.
The work will primarily consist of assisting the data manager with administrating and maintaining our extensive project database at Statistics Denmark. It would therefore be an advantage if you have experience using statistical/econometric software packages, most notably STATA, which is the primarily used program, though this is not a requirement. The role of the student is to process and carry out many day-to-day data requests by researchers and to help keep the project database updated. Typical duties include archiving and registering data received from Statistics Denmark, processing data requests and distributing data to projects, and examining the contents and updating data documentation for the project database. A certain level of Danish proficiency will be expected as much of the data documentation and correspondences from Denmark Statistics is in Danish.
This position offers experience in an impactful social science research organization with opportunities to develop the project database while interacting with researchers in a comfortable workplace located in central Copenhagen.
