BCG / UCEC Case Competition!

We invite students to participate in the Boston Consulting Group / UCEC Case Competition on April 4 and April 8. Boost your CV, develop your network and get hands-on experience with a real-life business case and present your solution in front of a highly experienced panel of judges consisting of senior BCG consultants and professors from the University of Copenhagen! The case competition kick-starts on April 4, 15:00-18:00, with a workshop by BCG on How to Solve a Case in a Case-Competition Setting. The workshop and case will be in English. Students are invited to come to the workshop even if they do not participate in the subsequent case competition.

The details of the case are of course secret, but it will test your ability to think like a strategy consultant. You and your team must identify and evaluate different strategic options to help a specific company. In order to do so you need to apply a creative yet fact based approach while working under time pressure. In the end, your analyses should lead to concrete recommendations to the company's board of directors.

Overview:

BCG Workshop: “How to Solve a Case in a Case Competition Setting”, followed by Case Introduction:

Case Hand-in:

Wednesday, April 6, 21:00

Finals at BCG’s offices:

Friday, April 8, 15.00 - 18.00
Place: Kalvebod Brygge 24, 8th floor, Copenhagen V 

All University of Copenhagen students are invited to participate in the workshop and the case competition. Cases are to be submitted in teams of 3-4 students. After solutions are handed in, the best teams are selected and invited to present at the finals at BCG’s offices.

To sign up to the workshop, write an email to casecomp@ucec.dk with your name, field and year of study before 18:00 on Tuesday, March 29. Simple! We strongly encourage students who wish to participate in the case competition to come to the workshop. You can participate in the workshop even though you do not have a group yet – groups will be created at the event for those who do not already have one. Don’t miss this great opportunity to solve interesting problems and develop your professional network.
