If you should recommend a good book, which one would it be?
The winner of the British Man Booker Prize, an annual prize for fiction, is usually a god bet. I usually buy and read  the winners and some of the shortlisted books.

What would you do if you won a million kr.?
I would return it to sender because it is probably  an internet scam. 

What, is anything, should have realized earlier in your life?
Life is to short too worry about the numerous mistakes you do in life.

What is the best part of your job?
The freedom of choosing what you want to do research on and the advantage of getting paid to become wiser.

Which bill do you hate to pay the most?
My bank pays my bills because otherwise I would forget paying all of them.

What is the most beautiful result in economics and why?
The formulation of the opportunity cost idea – which emerged  late in the 17th century -  is a forceful argument against mercantilistic  thinking then and now. It was 100 years later inspiring the  comparative advantage argument for free trade.

Which famous economist would you like to spend an afternoon with?
Great economists do not have time for an afternoon chat, they write papers.

What is the most important lesson, learnt from the financial crisis?
That history repeats itself, and that we do not learn. A little more attention to the teaching of generations of economic historians would help.
