Zoom Link: https://ucph-ku.zoom.us/j/62907778472

Center for Economic Behavior and Inequality (CEBI) organizes an online recruitment event for students at all levels in the Economics programme as well as master graduates. CEBI will soon advertise new PhD scholarships and hire new research assistants. CEBI aims to identify and develop new talents, and seeks applicants with a strong academic background.

The recruitment event will include a presentation of CEBI, including information about being a PhD student or a research assistant, by Director Claus Thustrup Kreiner, PhD student Kristoffer Balle Hvidberg, and research assistant Ida Maria Hartmann. The presentations will be followed by a Q&A session.

CEBI is a Center of Excellence funded by the Danish National Research Foundation. The main goal of CEBI is to provide cutting-edge research on the role of behavior in generating inequality and its underlying sources. The focus is on empirical research and on exploiting the globally unique Danish data research infrastructure that enables CEBI members to combine various population administrative registers with information about individuals’ background, choices and outcomes and to combine these data with information about behavioural characteristics obtained from large-scale controlled experiments and surveys.

CEBI combines several fields and methods: Public Economics, Labor Economics, Health Economics, Behavioral Economics, Household Finance, Political Economics, Microeconometrics, Experimental and Survey Methods and Structural Modelling. The current research group includes 14 senior researchers, 13 junior researchers, 11 PhD students, 7 research assistants as well as 7 international members from New York University, Pompeu Fabra University, Princeton University and University of Zürich. Additional information may be found at www.econ.ku.dk/cebi.

PhD scholarships are relevant for students who have taken at least four years of coursework before 1st of September and master graduates. The deadline for applying for a PhD scholarship will be 3 May 2021. Employment is expected to begin 1 September 2021. The call for applications are announced at www.jobportal.ku.dk/ https://jobportal.ku.dk/phd/?show=153706.

Research assistants are often recruited among students who have studied for 3-6 semesters, but other students may also be considered. Students interested in becoming a research assistant should send their CV and grade transcript to Tine Ceccardi (tine.ceccardi@econ.ku.dk) no later than 12 May 2021.
