”Being a part of the Female Mentorship Program taught me the importance of taking chances and showed me how many different and exciting paths you can follow in life. Through the extremely valuable network, I got the chance to meet inspiring role models and like-minded peers” – Line Plesner Støttrup Thomsen.
In 2018, Line was a mentee in the Female Mentorship Program at Boston Consulting Group (BCG). After the program, she was offered a consulting internship as Visiting Associate, which she recently completed. Once Line finishes her studies, she will return to BCG as a full-time Associate. The Female Mentorship Program helped Line kick-start her career, but the program offers much more than that.
“Mentoring is about giving and taking. The more you give of yourself, the more you get back”, as Mai-Britt Poulsen, Global Chief of Staff at BCG, explains.
The Female Mentorship Program at Boston Consulting Group is a unique opportunity to grow and learn about management consulting and BCG. The purpose of the program is to establish a strong relationship with aspiring, young women who wish to get insight into what a potential career in BCG could look like.
From March to December every year, BCG enrolls top female university students in the program and each student is assigned with a mentor from BCG. Throughout the program students will receive individual sessions with the mentor and participate in joint FMP events, getting to know fellow mentees and BCGers. By the end of the program, students should have an understanding of what it takes to become a management consultant, the challenges, and the many possibilities. As part of the mentorship, students are also guaranteed an interview with BCG in Denmark and personalized interview training beforehand.
So, are you an aspiring and ambitious female student? Then this is your chance to get your very own BCG mentor, receive qualified career guidance, and take on a unique learning experience.
The application deadline for the program is January 19, 2020.
